Who are we?
We’re a group of people who are aware of the problems faced by children with disabilities.
We have come together to share our experiences with others, especially parents, in the same situation.
We think it is vital to be able to deal with such deeply emotional issues and that means to have a space where it is possible to solve all the small problems that crop up on a daily basis. Small but which seem so big!
This is possible thanks to the advice available from those who have already been through it all.
Our mission?
Our mission is to foster the reciprocal help between families as well as to spread individual and group initiatives designed to help the children to grow serenely whilst respecting their needs. We offer free paediatric, psychological, dental and legal consultancy and help dealing with bureaucratic red tape.
Why are we running the Milan Marathon?
To finance the project ‘La Casa dei Bambini’ (the children’s House) – a space to grow together.
No one is different. We want rehabilitation through integration. In 2011 we want to provide a place for meetings and lots of opportunities for ALL CHILDREN. A library, afternoon integrated groups, pet therapy activities, special movement classes, computer workshops, dance, music and theatre therapies and art workshops to share experiences of growing and social integration.
Project cost is €42,195.00 (euro) to provide 10 months of activities for 10 children.
Our team goal is to raise: €4,291.50 in total
Together we’ll go hand in hand …….ABBRACCIO (EMBRACE)
